Benefits of BODE Pure Silk Pillow Case:
SAY “BYE” TO BAD HAIR DAYS:
Cotton can dry out your hair, and cause it to knot and frizz. BODES Silk Collection provides significant benefits for the health of your hair, keeping it naturally soft, moisturised and tangle-free. Firstly, silk doesn’t absorb moisture, however it does drain the moisture to ensure the excess moisture in your hair is removed, and also takes grease away from your body. This ensures your hair remains dry and with reduced grease in the morning. WIN!
The smoothness of a silk pillowcase can also be found to reduce split ends. The anti-static qualities in the silk fabric also prevents your hair from knotting. The cling-free properties of silk can extend the life of your blow dry by two days, BYE FELICIA!
SKIN SO SMOOTH:
Silk can help ease flakey, dry or itchy skin. It is a great solution if you have sensitive, easily-irritated skin. The natural protein and essential amino acid in silk pillowcases makes it a natural, skin-friendly material. Other bedding materials, such as cotton or polyester, can aggravate the skin and cause overheating and loss of moisture. Alternatively, a silk pillowcase is soft, smooth and light, and ensures your face will retain moisture and facial creams, further reducing the likelihood of your skin being itchy or dry by morning.
SLEEP BETTER WITHOUT ALLERGIES:
BODE Silk can significantly reduce the symptoms of asthma and other allergies due to its hypoallergenic qualities. Naturally pure and tightly woven, silk repels live allergens, such as bed mites, dust, pollen and other airborne allergens. The material itself has a structure which means it is much harder for mites to breed in and for other allergens to exist and subsequently cause irritation.

How do you wash a silk pillow case? When using a machine, keep the temperature at 30 degrees Celsius or under. Turn the silk pillowcase inside out, place inside a mesh laundry bag, and wash with a mild detergent. Use a basic detergent (with low pH) such as washing soap. Heavy chemicals can only harden the silk (e.g., alkaline, bleach).
How often should you wash your silk pillowcase? You should wash your pillowcase for at least once a week if not every two or three days.
Avoid a Hot Dryer - Remember, silk and high temperatures are not compatible. The best way to dry your pillowcase is on a drying rack away from direct heat sources and sunlight.
Can you iron a silk pillow case and eye mask? Yes you can. Always iron sparingly, only on the coolest setting with the pillowcase inside out. A light steam will enable the iron to glide smoothly over the fabric. Place a cloth between the iron and your silk pillow case. As well as a cloth over your eye mask.
